Anna Zoe

Anna Zoe, a singer, songwriter, musician, actress, and model, was born on June 11 in Erie, PA.

She has been singing since she learned how to talk, mostly singing along side her parents in her church choir. Growing up, she did not pay much attention to television, movies, or even the radio, rather enjoyed playing sports such as gymnastics, softball, soccer, and cheerleading. She began taking classical piano lessons at age six until she was twelve years old. It was then that she consciously decided to make music her professional career in life.

Anna Zoe was always a member of her school choirs, but began doing musical theatre shows in high school. When she was just 14 years old, she began singing the Star-Spangled Banner for her high schools’ sporting events. Eventually she moved on to singing at larger events such as the Minor League Baseball team, the Erie Seawolves, the Ontario Hockey League team, the Erie Otters, and most notably, the Harlem Globe Trotters, where she publicly won the most votes to sing through the local radio station.

Upon high school graduation, Anna Zoe moved to the NYC area to attend St. John’s University in Jamaica, Queens. There she studied Communication Arts with a specialization in Business. There she also participated in musical theatre, as well as more classical piano lessons. While studying abroad for a semester in Rome, Italy, she was inspired to write two of her now recorded tracks, Take Me Home and Pictures. She says, “That experience gave me the inspiration I needed to write music today; it opened my eyes to a world I never knew before.”

Upon her return to the United States, Anna Zoe met internationally know vocal coach, Craig Derry, and his assistant, Clurel Henderson, who she says “have changed my life forever.” Henderson has currently produced most of the tracks on her current album, with David Aaron and Faton Macula as other producers. While in NYC, she Anna Zoe has also gotten her feet wet in the acting and modeling world.

Anna Zoe’s motivation to continue to make music is to inspire others around her and in hope, make a true difference in this world. Since she was sixteen years old, she has lived by the anonymous quote, “Live your life in such a way, that those who don’t know God, but know you; will come to know God, through you.”

Her music has been compared to the likes of Vanessa Carlton, Sara Bareilles, and Coldplay, so her natural beauty, musical abilities, and amiable personality make her quite the crowd pleaser. Be sure to keep your eyes and ears on Anna Zoe!
